Aspen Peak
The central peaked great room of the Aspen Peak divides the public and private spaces. To one side are the kitchen and dining area; to the other side are the master suite and office. Three additional bedrooms and a large open rec room with a cozy fireplace are in the basement.

The main level square footage was reduced and the basement removed. A loft was added on the second level.

Although the layout and the shape of the footprint are similar, the clients were able to reduce complexity by squaring up the center section and removing some of the trusses.

Redesigned as a timber frame home, increased size by adding a screened porch and extending the master suite. A second detached garage was also added to the main level.

In addition to the deck that wraps around three-quarters of the house, and the patio space below it, there is a gazebo attached to the deck, perfect for a hot tub. Space underneath can be used for multi-purpose or storage.
